Februar 2012 (bearbeitet) I would like to remember some users about what technical definition of the crane is:A crane is a machine which is able to move load in x, y and z direction... http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/KranA tower crane is of course a kind of a crane with mast (tower) to achieve greater lifting heights. But that doesn`t mean it must be able to rotate... And what could "a normal construction site" be? http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/BaustelleProbably to build a 180m high steel structure whatever it`s function is (a skyscrapper, a powerline tower...) needs a construction site... My opinion is that a double jib tower crane is very suitable solution for powerline tower construction. Why?Simply because of symetrical building structure. If two equal loads are lifted at once they are balancing the crane and if nothing else counterweight isn`t neccessary...I suggest to open a new thread named f.ex. "Purpose built tower cranes" where everything what does not look like "normal" tower crane should be presented. bearbeitet 12. Februar 2012 von lina357 Zitieren
