Both types of luffers- top-slewing, like wolff 900 b or bottom slewing are fascinating cranes. Peiner TN560 is of the later type. Till 80s bottom slewing luffers prevailed-with magnificent examples like Peiner M1300, M2000, TN1800 and height up to 160 meters. Nowadays top slewing luffers have superseded almost completely bottom slewing luffers. Most representative for this type are the luffers from Wolffkran, Wilbert and Favco.

Another old big luffer was the 40 tons Arrol tower crane from 60s decade. It was top/slewing, too.
This cranes freestanding height from rail to slew deck is 63m.
Capacities
40Tons @10m minimum radius
40Tons @ 18m radius
20Tons @ 30m maximum radius
6 Ton @ 40m maximum fly jib radius
A picture of this crane can be seen on www.kran-info.ch on section about foreign cranes.
Does anybody knows other giant luffers from the past manufactured in Europe, other than peiner T, TN, VM/M series , liebherr 660-1500A series and Wolff 900B?
