Here is Kroll`s K 3000 with 150m HuH, railgoing and, of course, freestanding.
Please note, that the "real one", if ever built, can differ from this idea.
The drawing is based on the TS 80 anchored K 3000 for USA.

I am not shure, if this is a K 3000, which is located in Geoje.
It ( c o u l d ) also be a K 4000.
But I have reason to think so, unless someone knows better...
Does anyone strike something ? Hint: Think about balance...

If ever made that 150 m Kroll K-3000 would have been absolutely enormous! Even here in the pdf document the crane is so big that utter crane can't be seen without rotating the image in pdf menu display. The tower is as big as the one used for Kroll k10000, but the height under hook is almost twice that of k10000. Of course that gap is not so big if we take into account overal heights: 143 m for K10000 (with ancillary crane) and 175 m for kroll 3000.
Anyway, even nowadays very few luffers can attain that height: maybe only the vey large luffers from Favelle FAvco range-m1280, m1680, m2480 and recently introduced luffers from Wilbert wth double mast system bearbeitet 13. Dezember 2010 von djlivus
