Acctually, this is a photo from internet.
I think this is the first large Potain crane sold to Australia, delivered to the company Multiplex.
It should be MD3200 but I`m not sure.

Linaprin

Btw: How the ballancing is ensured on Potain`s Maxitopkit cranes in case of using shorter jib lengths? Only by reducing the number of ballasting slabs or also by reducing the counterjib`s length?

It is a Potain MD 2200, Linaprin. Used for the Melbourne Convention Centre Center in Australia.

Reply to your question : Same counter-jib length with less blocks counterweight. This can be seen on the MD 1400 used for the Torre Repsol in Madrid, also on the MD 3600 used for the Nanjing Bridge in China. This is a 40 meter jib with only one tie-bar configuration. Rather amazing on a Maxi Topkit eusa_think.gif

From Mr. Heinz Kessel I found out that in 1984 Favco had a project for a giant luffer -60 m tall tower , 6,5 X 6,5 square meters, 95 meters jib, 175 tonnes maxim load. It was intended to be dubbed M4200M. But it was never realized.
