I know.. they built it, 3200 but I saw the md 3600 pictures in the website link and tell it to build bridges in China. Did you have a picture or not! And now I want to know where it located(or in the yard!) ? that giant towerane of potain

@Linaprim @Weitz: thanks for the information. Indeed, 982 is a nice crane , but I dont't understand why Potain said it was the biggest of its time. Already in 1959 Pingon had a 350 mt, 70m HUH crane, 50 ton max load and 65 m jib, and also a 2000mt crane, according to kran-info.ch. Anyway I like very much the cranes of that time.
Potain md-900 is still on the site of Potain in the archive section- 104 m HUH, 10x10m, base, 4x4m mast.

Was any of these cranes custom-made, with special parameters, like 1983/84 MD-1000?

I think the advantage (record du monde) of this crane was lifting speed....
