Hi Vredny & kim !
According to the korean blog it would be a K 5000. But if you observe the photos closer,
you`ll discover, that the photos are taken from at least two different cranes. One of them
could be a K 5000 ( the photo which is taken towards the main jib at considerably high height ),
but I could be wrong here. The others show a crane mounted on a custom made portal:
This is a very old Kroll K 800, mounted with a " Peiner - like " cabin.
The main proof is the smaller A - Strut without additional bracing, while the machinery is mounted
on the main jib at the same time, like on the models K1400 and onwards.
( which all have additional bracing ).

I`m wondering how this climbing cage travel over the plates on tower section connections which are wider than the tower section?

Well,
the width of the towersection is defined by the connection - plates and not the main chords.
The climbing cage then uses inwards L - shaped profiles, and slides along the connection - plates,
or better: around them. The thing I do not understand is the position of the hydaulic lifting mechanism.
On your photo ( Macau / Casino, Kroll K1400 !? ) you can see the anchor plates for the lifting mechanism
along the tower - segments, pretty close to the same plane as the connection plates. So there is not much
space inbetween the outer dimension of the cage and the tower segment.
Could it be, that the hydraulic cylinders fit in there ?
Otherwise, they are, at least partially, exceeding the shown dimensions of the cage in my pdf,
which would then mean, that the cage has rectangular dimensions. This would be quite common,
many manufacturers come up with such an solution. The longer side would include the necessary space
for the lifting mechanism, and the chords of the cage could be QR - Profiles then.

Does anyone have photos of a Kroll climbing cage ? Or other helpfull data ?
