In my ey´s it is "only a railgoing erection crane for erection/construction work for power, chemical plants, all species of erection/construction work which need crane with great lifting capacity.


I agree with you...also russians clasify these cranes like a different category-but, everywhere else in the world-especially in China these are deemed tower cranes.They have many of this kind-dbq and tdq series. Also in Romania they have denomination MT3500. That means Tower Crane 3500.
I have to admit I don't like at all these cranes, but that is a different story.

I begin to like Favco cranes.. I just found out from reliable sources that bigest Favco cranes can be operated on rails at thier maximum hook heights-on a 80m tower for m2240D and 100m tower for m1680D. Maximum HUH is 170m for m2240 and 180m for 1680D! That is realy, realy impressive!!!!! bearbeitet von djlivus

Generally , I am not big fan of diesel towers, but most of favco can be electric, too. MK-series. Only m2240, I see on favco site, has no electric version, but I'm sure it is only a matter of time till that will apear.
