Most of the diggers in Japan have no quick coupler… Except demolition machines. It’s never necessary for regular diggers in Japan anyway.

I Machines and no quickcoupler with an tiltinmg bucket is kinda a waste of possibilitys

Indeed. But the problem is, unlike Europe, the auxiliary hydraulic system ( including pipes for attachments, attachment valves and even an extra gear pump and specialised joysticks) is not a standard equipment for diggers in Asia. Most of the diggers are just “diggers”, no chance to carry any attachments except buckets or grapplers drives by the bucket cylinder, not even a tilt bucket. Yes, what you can see is an arm with no pipes, nothing on it. In that sense, I think quick coupler is a kind of dead weight. About the tilt bucket, I found it useful, I will probably see it someday in Japan since Steelwrist has already entered the Asian market.

Sry, tilt-rotator to be more accurate. Already seen it in both Japan and China, and only in exhibitions…

Interesting... we see the excavator more and more as a tool carrier/power source for said attachtemnts as a pure digger.

I had imagined that Japan with its fondness for gadgets had implemented the tiltrotator&full hydraulic quick coupler already...

Are Backhoe´s common in Japan?   Or wheeled excavators?

You can often find “specialised equipment “, suchlike compact cranes or drills (all based on diggers) instead of normal diggers with quick couplers and attachments. Backhoes… I don’t think there are backhoes in Japan. And there are some wheeled diggers (mostly 125s) but you don’t see them often. Nothing compares to Europe. And it seems that currently only the Hitachi ZX125W-7 wheel excavator is on sale. Interestingly, this thing uses a Deutz engine, I thought it would be an Isuzu 4JJ1.
