28.11.2014 - Shanghai. More visitors and more exhibitors than ever before. The bauma China 2014 proved to be a record show. No wonder, the organisation team was more than satisfied. Not only the Messe München, but also the exhibitors seemed happy with the attendance at Asia’s largest industry fair.

28.11.2014 - Shanghai. The SX-180 is Genie’s highest reaching self-propelled telescopic boom lift. It features a working envelope with a vertical reach of 54.9 meters. The drive is enabled even at full height. The maximum horizontal outreach is 24.4 m, which spans the complete length of a tennis court. And thanks to its telescopic undercarriage, the SX-180 can be easily transported to the working site on a standard trailer.

27.11.2014 - Shanghai. One of the highlights at bauma China 2014 was the Sunward SWE350ES. It is the first hybrid excavator from a Chinese manufacturer. The 35 ton excavator is powered by an Isuzu four-cylinder-turbo-engine with 184 kW. The hybrid system consists of a generator and a battery. It stores the swing energy and recuperates the power to the main hydraulic pump.

27.11.2014 - Shanghai. Wirtgen is present in China since over 30 years. Two highlights at bauma China were the W 100 H and W 130 H. Both cold milling machines have been assembled in China according to German quality standards. They are powered by a Dongfeng Cummins engine which meets Tier 2 emissions regulations. Optionally available is a Deutz engine with Tier 3 emission standards, according to the needs of the Asian markets.

27.11.2014 - Shanghai. Within the Wirtgen Group Kleemann is a specialized supplier of crushing and processing technologies. At Bauma China the German manufacturer showcases their Mobicat and Mobicone contractor lines, which can be connected together.

Another Kleemann highlight at bauma China is the Mobiscreen 19D triple-deck vibration screen. Powered by a 95 kW diesel hydraulic drive concept, the track mounted screening plant allows for a feed capacity of up to 500 ton per hour. At the sime time it is suitable for feed material of up to 150 mm in size.

28.11.2014 - Shanghai. After the long established HB215, Komatsu introduces its second hybrid hydraulic excavator to the Asian market. The HB205-1 features the same engine with 104 kilowatt (141 HP at 2000 RPM) and the same successful hybrid technology like its larger brother. Therefore, it shares also shares the hybrid advantages: High fuel efficiency and a lower noise level. 

Bauforum24 shows the brand new model with a 0.90 m3 bucket.

28.11.2014 - Shanghai. Zoomlion is one of Chinas largest crane manufacturers. At bauma China 2014, Zoomlion introduced the QAY800. The brand new all-terrain Crane features a single-cyclinder telescoping system with hydraulic interlocking devices. The maximum lifting capacity is 800 tons. The main boom length extends up to 91 metres and the luffing jib length adds 15 to 69 metres. This makes the QAY800 sufficient for the assembly of wind plants with a maximum height of 150 metres, says Zoomlion.

When travelling, the 8-axle crane has a deadweight of 92 tons. The driving speed is more than 70 kilometres per hour and the maximum gradeability is 35 percent. Zoomlion says the crane has been tested, error-free, during 15,000 kilometres of road tests on Asian street conditions.

Zoomlion also cares about fuel efficiency: The company claims that the refined heat dissipation system reduces engine energy consumption by at least 4 percent. However, the QAY800 won’t be seen in Europe for the time being. It has been specially designed for the Asian market. This probably relates to the technology it uses. Zoomlion claims that is has self-developed many crane technologies. However, experts see similarities to mobile cranes of European and American manufacturers.

28.11.2014 - Shanghai. Intelligent systems – better machines: Moba is a specialist for the automation of aerial work plattforms and construction equipment. At bauma China 2014 Moba showcased the newest products, all of them engineered and manufactured in Moba’s own facility in China.

25.11.2014 - Shanghai. Chinese public owned company XCMG claims to be the fifths largest manufacturer of heavy equipment in the world. XCMGs range of electric drive dump trucks ranges from 110 to 400 tons. This makes the XDE240 the company’s third largest dump truck.

The XDE 240 offers a payload of 230 tons. XCMG provides the 4x2 dump truck with a 16V4000 engine by MTU. Optionally available is a Cummins QSK60 engine, depending on customers preference.

The hydro pneumatic suspension aims for a smoother ride. The minimum turning diameter is 28.4 meters. The AC transmisson technology is provided by General Electric. The XDE 240 appears to be an impressive dump truck. However, in quarry and mining there’s nothing more important than service and support. XCMG has yet to prove if it can keep up with the big players of the industry.

25.11.2014 - Shanghai. XCMG is the first Chinese company to introduce a mining excavator in the 400 ton class: The brand new XE4000 is clearly one of the highlights at bauma China 2014. The steel work has been done by XCMG itself. The hydraulic system has been developed together with German engineers from former Terex O&K and Bosch Rexroth. Equipped with a 22 cubic metres bucket the XE 4000 matches perfectly with a 240 ton dump truck.

Despite the huge public attraction, only few professionals have yet seen the XE4000 working under heavy conditions. XCMG claims that the new mining excavator has been already successfully tested by a Chinese customer in Inner Mongolia.

24.11.2014 - Shanghai. Atlas Copco is a world-renowned specialist mining equipment manufacturer. At Bauma China 2014, Atlas Copco premiered their new hydraulic, surface drill rig: The Powerroc T50. With a drilling diameter between 102 and 152 mm it can drill up to 4.27 metre in a single pass.

24.11.2014 - Shanghai. The GaiaX is Volvo’s newest concept excavator. Inspired by swedish design culture, the compact excavator features a minimalistic design approach. GaiaX runs on rechargeable batteries, but can also be operated by external electricity.

Another innovative feature is the Human Machine Interface, based on a tablet computer. It allows the operator to visualize the jobsite in advance and to remotely operate the GaiaX in potentially dangerous environments.

27.11.2014 - Shanghai/China. Four decades of building machines - and still down to earth: Bauer is a world renowned leader in foundation engineering. Based in Schrobenhausen, Germany, Bauer is present in the Chinese market since 1992. With two facilities in Shanghai and Tianjin, Bauer can quickly respond to the demands of their Asian customers.

bauma China 2014 is a welcome opportunity for Bauer to showcase their newest hydraulic rotary drill rigs. The BG 26 and BG 38 ValueLine are both manufactured in the Chinese facility in Tianjin. Mounted on the base carrier BS 80, the BG 38 is so far Bauer's largest ValueLine drilling rig. With a maximum torque of 380 kNm, even the hardest drilling jobs are easy on hand. The BG 38 ValueLine is specially optimized for the Kelly drilling method. The Bauer V-kinematic system with two backstay cylinders guarantees high stability. The mast carries the Kelly bar, the KDK rotary drive and the drilling tool. The multi gear drive offers four selectable modes of operations. Therefore it can be adjusted to various soil conditions.

At bauma China 2014, Bauer also introduces the BG 26. From the outside, it almost looks like its predecessor, the BG 25. But the new hydraulic system gives the drilling rig a much better performance. It has the capacity of constructing 2.2 metres boreholes to a depth of 65.4 metres. Both the BG 26 and the BG 38 are part of Bauer's ValueLine series, an answer to the price sensitive Asian market.

Apart from rotary drill rigs, Bauer is also renowned for hydraulic grab carriers. Showcased at bauma China are the GB 46 and GB 60. Both carriers are equipped with the DHG hydraulic grab. It has been specially engineered for diaphragm wall construction. The heavy duty grab is rope suspended and hydraulically operated. The grab is lifted by two perfectly synchronized winches with a combined hoisting force of 600 kN. A cyclinder inside the base body allows an opening and closing time of 6 to 10 seconds. Multiple grabbing at the trench bottom makes high excavation rates possible, even in very dense soil strata.

For even tougher working conditions, Bauer offers another solution, based on 30 years of Cutter experience.
